Madrid, 23 de enero de 2017– &nbsp;Hotelbeds Group, el Bedbank número 1 del mundo y proveedor global de servicios para la industria turística, ha participado este fin de semana en la Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR) en el primer Hackathon de turismo sostenible celebrado en la feria y organizado por IFEMA y Minube.

Una vez más, la compañía ha demostrado su capacidad de innovación tecnológica ofreciendo acceso a su API de distribución hotelera APItude. Durante 2 días, desde 21 al 22 de enero, desarrolladores de todo el mundo se han organizado en grupos de hasta 5 personas, compitiendo para desarrollar a partir de diferentes APIs la mejor solución tecnológica que respalde el turismo sostenible. En esta edición, empresas líderes del sector tecnológico como Microsoft, Cabify, Carto y Hotelbeds Group entre otras, han compartido su tecnología a todos los participantes.

El grupo Pequeño Encanto, se erigió como ganador del Hackathon, presentando una aplicación que fomenta la visibilidad de pequeñas poblaciones del territorio Español. El equipo ganador utilizó APitude para la identificación de alojamientos en dichas localidades. Hotelbeds Group, por su parte, entregó el premio al mejor uso de su API - dotado de 5 premios de 200 euros en metálico-&nbsp; al grupo SOS10 gracias a su solución para calcular la huella ambiental de los hoteles.

APItude es la API de distribución hotelera más sencilla y rápida del mercado. Ha sido diseñada para mejorar la experiencia de los desarrolladores en la creación de sus propias webs de viajes o aplicaciones para móviles, gracias a un acceso más fácil, rápido e intuitivo al portafolio de productos de Hotelbeds. 7 February, 2017 – Hotelbeds Group, a global bedbank and business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry, has announced today plans for Tourico Holidays to merge with its Bedbank business unit.

Commenting on the news, Joan Vilà, Executive Chairman of Hotelbeds Group said: “With the backing of Cinven and CPPIB we are entering the next phase of our development since becoming an independent company back in September.

“Therefore it gives me great pleasure to announce that Tourico Holidays will join Hotelbeds Group. Tourico Holidays has a well-deserved reputation for excellence and innovation that I have respected for many years. I look forward to working with its experienced leadership team.

“The proposed deal will enable us to enhance our footprint, especially in Tourico Holidays’ home market of North America whilst they will benefit from belonging to Hotelbeds Group´s global network. Together we will combine our best in class technology and distribution expertise for the benefit of both our hotel partners and clients.

“For the time being, both businesses will continue as usual, focusing on our top priority: providing the best possible service to our hotel partners and clients.”&nbsp;

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory and anti-trust approvals.

This increase is mainly driven by interest for groups and Fully Independent Travellers (FIT) roundtrip products.

South Africa (+55%) and Kenya (+41%) have been the fastest growing specialist destinations for the German market in the last four months. Other popular routes have included: Namibia, India, Peru, Tanzania and Mauritius.

Specialist destinations growth for Hotelbeds Group´s Destination Services business in German market


	Solid increase in sales, despite slow local market growth[1]
	Spain top destination for German travellers with growth of 26% in Total Transaction Value (TTV), followed by USA and Turkey (which was down from number two)
	The average German traveller´s stay grew slightly from 4.12 days in 2015 to 4.19 days in 2016, above the European average of 3.28 days



Berlin, March 8th 2017 - Hotelbeds Group, the number one bedbank worldwide and a business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry, today announces at ITB Berlin that its Bedbank brands continued to outperform the German source market, growing above the market average for the year ended 31 December 2016.

Germany remained one of the most important source markets for Hotelbeds Group, where the company offers German intermediaries access to over 120,000 hotels, 20,000 transfers and 12,000 activities available in over 180 destinations globally.

As a destination for German travellers, Spain was the most visited country in 2016 with an increase of 26% in TTV. This was followed by the USA as a second destination choice, Turkey fell from second to third place as a destination for German travellers after experiencing a significant decline. Meanwhile other fast growing destinations for German travellers were Thailand, Greece, Portugal and Croatia.

The average stay for German travellers grew from 4.12 days in 2015 to 4.19 days in 2016, above the European average of 3.28 days. Greece recorded the longest average stay for Germans with 7.59 days, while the average stay in the UK by German travellers was 3.03 days. Despite being a long-haul destination, the USA average stay was only 3.24 days (this figure is surprisingly low because many Germans travelling in the US visit multiple-destinations).

Meanwhile average roomnight (RN) expenditure also increased from 89.89€ to 94.68€ in 2016 for the German market, below the average expenditure registered for the European market (101.12€).&nbsp; Compared to the previous year, early bookings[2] recorded a 7% increase, although medium term[3] bookings still represented the most part of the bookings (46%), according to Hotelbeds Group’s internal reports.

Berlin, March 9th 2017 - Hotelbeds Group, the number one bedbank worldwide and a business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry, today announces at ITB Berlin that reservations from its Bedbank brands in the German source market for summer 2017 (June-September) continue to show signs of strength and optimism (based on bookings made up to the end of February).

The destinations registering the greatest level of bookings from the German source market through Hotelbeds Group´s distribution platforms include: Spain (Majorca, Barcelona, Fuerteventura, Gran Canarias and Costa Brava); the USA (New York, Las Vegas and San Francisco); Greece (Crete, Rhodes and Kos); and Italy (Rome and Venice). Among all these destinations, Greece remains the fastest growing year-on-year for the German market and also has the longest average stay characteristic (9 days).

Spain holds on to the top destination spot in Hotelbeds Group´s system when counting reservations from all European source markets. Spain is followed in order by the USA, Greece, Portugal, Italy and Turkey (which has seen a substantial fall in bookings overall). Among all these destinations, Portugal is registering the fastest growth (+28%) year-on-year.

Las agencias optarán a dos fam trip en Las Vegas y Miami y, posteriormente, otro organizado en Bangkok.

El primer fam trip tendrá lugar en Las Vegas y Miami entre el 19 y el 24 de abril. Para entrar en el sorteo, que se llevará a cabo el 7 de abril, las agencias contabilizarán todas las reservas de hotel, extras y traslados con destino Estados Unidos realizadas entre el 6 de marzo y el 6 de abril de 2017, las reservas en Las Vegas y Miami tendrán doble puntuación. Durante 5 días, los agentes tendrán la oportunidad de disfrutar al máximo del destino y conocer la oferta de ocio que disponen ambas ciudades.

Al promocional de Las Vegas y Miami, se sumará el fam trip organizado en Bangkok entre el 25 de abril y el 2 de mayo. En este caso, la campaña también tendrá en cuenta todas las reservas de hotel, extras y traslados con destino Asia creadas entre el 9 de marzo y el 8 de abril y se otorgará una doble puntuación para las reservas en Bangkok. El sorteo se realizará el 10 de abril de 2017. Este fam trip de 7 días dará la oportunidad a los profesionales españoles ganadores del sorteo de conocer uno de los destinos asiáticos más demandados entre los clientes españoles.

Los países que se visitarán en estos fam trip han sido seleccionados por ser de los destinos internacionales más demandados por las agencias españolas. De hecho, en los últimos tres años han registrado un aumento de ventas muy considerable, por una parte Estados Unidos creciendo un 55% y Bangkok un 65%.

Berlin, 4 March 2015 – Hotelbeds, the No.1 Global B2B Bedbank, has announced its roomnight booking growth figures for the summer season during ITB Berlin 2015, one of the world’s leading travel trade shows, taking place between 4-8 March in the German capital.

As global tourism shows signs of strength and optimism reigns in most markets[1], Hotelbeds is on track to outpace the industry[2] again with an estimated 22% growth for global roomnights sales during the summer period (May-September). The main source markets for Hotelbeds at a global level are the UK, Germany, Spain and the United States.

Bookings into Europe, the Bedbank’s most important region in terms of volume, have increased by 32% in comparison to the same period last year, with the top source markets being the UK, Germany, Spain and Ireland.&nbsp;Spain remains the most important global destination for Hotelbeds this summer, with a 25% growth in bookings in comparison to the same period last year. Spain is followed by the United States and Greece, whose strength as a destination is backed by a solid 54% growth. This proves the eternal attraction of the Mediterranean, with Mallorca, the Algarve, Benidorm and Crete standing out among the top five most demanded destinations globally. The region also boasts growth rates above 30% in countries such as Italy, Greece, Croatia and Malta.

	Hotelbeds Group has jumped 20 places to position 52 compared to last year, in a list that selects the very best companies to work for from all sectors in Spain.
	This result is particularly impressive in a year when Hotelbeds Group went through a sale process.


Palma de Mallorca, 25 July 2016 – Expansion’s respected business magazine ‘Actualidad Económica’ has ranked Hotelbeds Group, the&nbsp;leading provider of services to the travel trade and the world’s bedbank, in the top position among travel companies in its ranking of the ‘Las mejores empresas para trabajar’ in Spain (The best companies to work for).

Only three travel companies appear in the top 100, with Hotelbeds Group ahead of the other two, Amadeus and Iberia, in a list that does not feature any of Spain’s hotel chains, tour operators or travel agency networks, either traditional or online.

The ranking assesses the quality of 500 companies in Spain, that were later analysed by external experts and consultants until coming up with the top 100 list. The questionnaire is based on a wide range of criteria including talent management, remuneration, environment, social policies, training and assessment by its employees. Hotelbeds Group scored highly in all categories ensuring its strong position in the list. The magazine highlighted specific examples of Hotelbeds Group’s commitment to creating a great place to work for its employees including its bus service, car sharing system and its clear focus on lowering the environmental impact of its operations.

This result is particularly relevant in a year in which Hotelbeds Group experienced change due to the sale initiated by TUI Group, that generated massive interest from a wide range of bidders. In April 2016, European private equity firm Cinven and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board announced an agreement to acquire Hotelbeds Group in a deal that is due to be approved by the regulatory authorities before the end of September 2016.&nbsp;&nbsp;
