	México se sitúa como segundo mercado emisor principal para Bedsonline en todo el mundo.
	Bedsonline México ha experimentado un crecimiento de un 10 % del número de agencias conectadas a la plataforma en el último año- hasta alcanzar la cifra de 4.500 agencias.
	Colombia se sitúa en el foco de la estrategia de la mayorista para los próximos años, registrado en el último año un crecimiento de un 46% como mercado emisor.


Los Cabos, 7 septiembre, 2017 – Bedsonline, el proveedor global líder en alojamiento y productos complementarios online exclusivo para agencias de viaje, ha anunciado en el marco de su evento anual en México Embajadores que México es uno de sus principales mercados a nivel global. Concretamente, el país ha conseguido situarse nuevamente como segundo mercado emisor en todo el mundo y primero en América.

Los Cabos, sede de la octava edición del evento, se encuentra en el top 5 de destinos principales en el país por detrás de Cancún, Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta y Ciudad de México.

Como destino- según datos de la mayorista- los mexicanos se mantienen como la principal fuente de turistas del país. Le siguen España, Colombia (que este año escala una posición), Estados Unidos y Costa Rica.

Bedsonline confirma México como uno de sus mercados estratégicos en Embajadores 2017 


	La jornada de reclutamiento ha tenido lugar este martes en la sede PalmaActiva, agencia de desarrollo local del Ayuntamiento de Palma, donde han participado 80 personas
	La empresa se convierte en la primera que organiza un evento de selección de personal después de la temporada alta de verano


Palma, 19 de septiembre, 2017– Hotelbeds Group, banco de camas líder&nbsp;y proveedor global B2B de servicios para la industria turística en todo el mundo, ha llevado a cabo este martes una jornada de selección de personal para cubrir puestos de trabajo de agente de servicio al cliente. El evento ha sido organizado conjuntamente con PalmaActiva, la agencia de desarrollo local del Ayuntamiento de Palma. En él han participado un total de 80 personas, la mayoría de ellas desempleadas o en situación de mejora de empleo.

La empresa Hotelbeds Group ha apostado, como viene haciendo en los últimos años, por candidatos locales de la isla de Mallorca, lugar donde tiene su sede principal. El objetivo del área de Recursos Humanos de la empresa, explica Marta Pourtau, líder de esta campaña, “es seguir buscando personal en las islas para los diferentes puestos vacantes que se necesiten en un futuro. Desde Hotelbeds Group y el departamento de Recursos Humanos, queremos agradecer a todos los candidatos su interés por esta jornada y a PalmaActiva su predisposición y soporte en estas jornadas, deseando que no sean las últimas en las que colaboran ambas entidades”. 

Para esta oferta en concreto, la empresa incorporará un total de 20 puestos de trabajo de agente de servicio al cliente. Por ello, la empresa ha buscado un perfil que cumpla requisitos como los siguientes: posesión del título de Bachiller, excelente nivel de inglés y otros idiomas europeos (francés, alemán, ruso…), altos conocimientos de informática y experiencia previa en servicio al cliente, mejor si ésta ha sido en la industria turística. Asimismo, han buscado personas dinámicas, proactivas, empáticas, con capacidad para solventar problemas y trabajar en equipo.

En una primera fase de selección online se inscribieron unas 150 personas, de las cuales solo pasaron a la siguiente fase 80 candidatos. Estos han sido los que han asistido este martes a la jornada de selección y han protagonizado una serie de pruebas grupales e individuales donde han tenido que demostrar su experiencia y sus dotes de cara al cliente.

Las principales tareas que tendrán que llevar a cabo una vez contratados estos agentes serán: ayudar y dar apoyo a los clientes (hoteles, turoperadores, agencias de viaje y clientes finales); atender llamadas y correos electrónicos; gestionar reservas; proporcionar información y asesoramiento sobre los productos y contactar con los proveedores cuando sea necesario. La empresa posee actualmente 9 centros de servicio al cliente con alrededor de 400 empleados que dan apoyo 24 horas al día, 7 días a la semana, en 20 idiomas diferentes.

Hotelbeds Group se ha convertido así en la primera empresa relacionada con el turismo que organiza un evento de selección de personal justo después de la temporada alta, ya que la compañía busca a candidatos no solo para los meses de verano, sino para todo el año.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Por su parte, PalmaActiva ha dado apoyo a la empresa durante todas las fases de esta selección: dando difusión de la oferta en redes sociales, haciendo la primera criba curricular y citando a los candidatos seleccionados al evento. Además, este martes ha cedido un espacio en su sede para acoger a los preseleccionados y facilitar la realización de dinámicas en grupo y entrevistas individuales con los reclutadores.

Palma, September 21, 2017 – Hotelbeds Group, a leading bedbank worldwide and a business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry, has announced a strategic partnership with Broadway Inbound, group buyers and FIT Travel industry wholesalers.

This development will enhance the offering of theatre, shows and musicals available on the Hotelbeds Group platform for the Americas market, in particular in New York, Las Vegas and Chicago. The partnership will add 46 new theatre options to Transfer &amp; Activity Bank (TAB) portfolio.

Thanks to this integration online travel agents (OTAs), tour operators, bricks-and-mortar travel agents and airlines connected to the Hotelbeds Group platform will now be able to book tickets with real time availability using an automated system that allows the purchase of last minute tickets.

	Data analytics survey launched at the recent Hotelbeds MarketHub Asia event in Bangkok surveyed 250 plus participants and over 30 nationalities.
	Almost 90% of APAC travel companies will increase data analytics budget next year – and over half expect 30% plus increase in revenues from data analytics boost.
	&nbsp;Lack of skilled people and lack of clean data amongst biggest data analytics challenges for companies in the region.
	Powered by data, driven by people theme of event focused on central role of data analytics in growing revenues.


Palma, June 15th 2017 – Hotelbeds Group, the leading bedbank worldwide and business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry, has published the results of an industry survey focused on the topic of data analytics taken at the recent MarketHub Asia event in Bangkok.

Over 250 industry professionals from across Asia Pacific participated in the survey, with more than 30 nationalities represented, including from the Middle East and countries such as Australia, China, Thailand, and Japan.

Surveyed for their opinions on some of the biggest data analytics challenges facing the travel industry in Asia Pacific, the participants revealed that:


	Over half the audience (57%) felt that data analytics will help to contribute annual increases of revenues of more than 30% over the next five years – with 19% expecting increases of over 60%.&nbsp;
	Nine in ten (88%) of the respondents said their companies will increase budget for data analytics next year, with no companies reported a planned decrease – and 49% preparing for a ´significant´ increase.
	The biggest benefit they receive currently from data analytics is in forecasting demand (34%), followed by targeted marketing campaigns (24%) and revenue management (23%).
	Whilst the biggest challenge they face in the area of data analytics is attracting talent (34%), closely followed by a lack of clean data (33%). Only 9% cite a lack of technology partners as a problem.


Sam Turner, Global Sales Director at Hotelbeds, pointed out: “This survey has been a very valuable exercise to generate insight into exactly how the leading travel companies in Asia Pacific are embedding analytics into their organizations – already we are adapting our approach based upon these learnings.

&nbsp;“One of the biggest issues travel companies will face in the future will be getting the skilled people required to analyse and manage the ever increasing amounts of data they are producing: a data-driven world requires data-driven employees.”

Gareth Matthews, Marketing and Communications Director at Hotelbeds Group, added: “These findings are particularly relevant for the Chinese market, already the world’s largest e-commerce market.&nbsp; China does not have legacy issues and can therefore leapfrog straight to advanced data analytics and smart technologies to track and anticipate consumer behaviour, just look at the success of WeChat. The Chinese market is perhaps uniquely well-positioned to exploit this new wealth of data from a marketing perspective. It will be fascinating to see how this impacts the travel industry in the region over the coming 18 months.”

Additionally the audience survey also explored other areas relating to the Asia Pacific travel market:


	61% believed that personal recommendations or social media activity of influencers have the greatest impact on the booking choices of travellers in the region – with only 7% believing that previous experience of a destination is the top factor in picking a destination.



	The biggest concerns for Asia Pacific travellers when visiting Europe are firstly the threat of terrorism (32%), closely followed by visas (26%). &nbsp;Only 10% thought language barriers were an issue and only 2% thought the food an issue.


The MarketHub Asia event was attended by around 250 senior travel professionals from tour operator and OTA clients of Hotelbeds from across Asia Pacific.

The theme of the event was Powered by data, driven by people. Focusing on how travel companies can use data to drive growth in their businesses, it included insights into how the landscape of travel data will evolve over the coming years.

Palma, 5 de octubre, 2017 – Bedsonline, el mayorista de acomodación exclusivo para agencias de viajes, ha anunciado hoy sus resultados de cierre de verano – datos recogidos entre los meses de junio a septiembre- donde un año más, España sigue siendo el destino estrella de los españoles para disfrutar de sus vacaciones de verano. De hecho, según datos de la compañía, más de la mitad de las reservas realizadas por los españoles durante este periodo fueron para el mercado doméstico.

Los destinos urbanos se imponen frente al turismo de playa. Madrid, Barcelona, París y Nueva York encabezan la lista de destinos estrella. Destaca, este año, un crecimiento exponencial de París, registrando un incremento de sus reservas de un 20% escalando, así, una posición en el ranking respecto el mismo periodo del año anterior.

Como destino de playa, Tenerife se sitúa en primera posición, seguido de Gran Canaria y Mallorca.

Carlos Feliu, director de ventas de Bedsonline comenta que: “Una vez más, nuestros datos de reserva confirman que el mercado doméstico es la primera opción de los españoles para pasar sus vacaciones de verano. Esta tendencia se mantiene también para los periodos de navidad y semana santa. 

“Por otro lado, observamos que la estancia media de los españoles&nbsp; se mantiene estable – en 2,2 noches- con un presupuesto aproximado de alrededor de unos 300 euros.

“Este año en concreto, hemos encarado el verano con un aumento de nuestro producto vacacional del 50%&nbsp; enfocado, especialmente, a los destinos más demandados: Tenerife, Mallorca, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria y Costa del Sol.”

Reino Unido, Los Países Bajos, Portugal y Francia son la principal fuente de turistas después de España.

Singapore, 25th October, 2017 – Hotelbeds Group, the business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry globally, has announced today – at the ITB Asia event taking place in Singapore – outstanding growth in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region during the full year of ´16/´17.

The Group´s Hotelbeds brand – which is focused on the wholesaler (OTAs, tour operators, airlines) – registered 20% year-on-year growth in room nights booked from the APAC source market.

Additionally during this period China was the top source market – for the second year running – within APAC with 46% growth in room nights for the Hotelbeds brand. Other top Asian source markets are India, South Korea, Indonesia and Australia

Meanwhile top APAC destinations booked via Hotelbeds platform globally were Bangkok followed by Hong Kong, Singapore, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur and Bali.

This news shows that China has emerged as one of the key strategic markets for Hotelbeds Group in APAC, becoming the 5th biggest source market, up from 22nd place only five years ago.&nbsp;

Hotelbeds Group grows car rental sales 200% over three years


	La recolecta se llevó a cabo con motivo del día mundial de esta enfermedad
	El total de dinero proviene de donaciones de empleados y una aportación de 4.000 euros por parte de la empresa
	Se trata de la primera iniciativa global de la compañía en materia de sostenibilidad en la que participan trabajadores de las principales oficinas de todo el mundo


Palma, 31 de octubre de 2017. Hotelbeds Group, banco de camas líder y proveedor global B2B de servicios para la industria turística en todo el mundo, destinará más de 9.000 euros a la investigación contra el cáncer de mama fruto de la campaña de recaudación llevada a cabo globalmente por la compañía con motivo del día mundial del cáncer de mama.

La recaudación, que asciende a 9.134 euros, se consiguió durante la semana del 16 al 20 de octubre a través de donaciones de empleados y de la propia compañía, que aportó 4.000 euros. El total se repartirá entre la Breast Cancer Research Foundation de Estados Unidos y a la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC) para contribuir a la prevención e investigación de esta enfermedad que padecen muchas personas, en su mayoría mujeres.&nbsp;

Elena Pérez, directora de Recursos Humanos en Hotelbeds Group comentó: “Durante toda una semana, del 16 al 20 de octubre, lanzamos diferentes actividades de concienciación en nuestras principales oficinas de todo el mundo (España, Singapur, Estados Unidos, México, Tailandia y China). Concretamente, el día 20 de octubre los empleados fueron a trabajar ataviados con prendas o detalles color de rosa para mostrar su apoyo a la causa. Ese día, la empresa en su sede central repartió lazos rosas, organizó una merienda con fruta fresca cortada y repostería casera, distribuyó&nbsp; folletos de concienciación y prevención, y expertos en la materia fueron a la sede de Mallorca y Barcelona a impartir charlas”.

“Se trata de la primera campaña global que el departamento de Sostenibilidad de Hotelbeds Group impulsa, en la que han participado empleados en todo el mundo. El feedback ha sido muy positivo y estamos muy orgullosos de ver la gran involucración y concienciación de los empleados en esta causa”. 

La encargada de dar las conferencias en las sedes de Palma y Barcelona fue la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC), quien trajo al doctor Torrecabota a Palma y a la psico-oncóloga Ana González a Barcelona. En sendas charlas se enfatizó el trabajo de la AECC y los expertos trataron la concienciación, la prevención y los tratamientos actuales para combatir el cáncer de mama.&nbsp;

Además de estas actividades, se lanzó la campaña de donaciones online donde los empleados aportaron su granito de arena a través de donaciones a la plataforma de la misma Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), que superó los 5.000 euros que irán íntegros a esta fundación.

Por último, algunos de los empleados que participaron en la iniciativa afirmaron que “es una muy buena campaña para sensibilizar a la gente sobre esta grave enfermedad, que nos toca a todos de alguna forma: durante nuestra vida, a una amiga, una madre, hermana o abuela”. Los donantes afirmaron que su aportación iba “en solidaridad con todas las mujeres afectadas por el cáncer de mama y con la esperanza de contribuir a la erradicación de esta terrible enfermedad”.

Esta recolecta de sensibilización y donaciones se llevó a cabo durante la semana del 16 al 20 de octubre, fechas destinadas nacional e internacionalmente a la difusión de campañas y apoyos contra el cáncer de mama.

Palma, 2nd November 2017. Hotelbeds Group, the business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry globally, has revealed today – ahead of World Travel Market in London from 6-8 November – the trends for UK source market bookings through its platform during the full financial year of ´16/´17[1].

The United Kingdom once again remains the world´s most important source market for Hotelbeds Group, where the&nbsp; Group offers UK intermediaries access to over 120,000 hotels, 21,000 transfer routes and 12,000 activities, available in over 180 destinations globally.

Spain is the top country for British travellers whose bookings were made via the Group´s platform, with Mallorca followed by Tenerife as their favorite places to enjoy holidays. This reveals a clear preference for the sun and beach tourism. By number of bookings, these were followed by the Algarve (Portugal), Orlando (USA) and Benidorm (Spain).

The average stay of British travellers in these destinations was six nights, with only Orlando surpassing the average to reach seven nights per stay.

Additionally, as a destination, the trends registered by Hotelbeds Group´s platform globally also reveal that the main source of tourism for the UK was internal travellers, followed by Spanish, North American, German and Chinese tourists.

Hotelbeds Group will participate next week at the World Travel Market fair in London, taking place on the 6th, 7th and 8th of November (stand GV100).

On Wednesday 8th of November at 2.30pm, the company will host a panel discussion called ´The future of hotel distribution technology´ on the WTM Travel Tech Theatre (TT390).

The panel will be hosted by Sam Turner, Head of Sales at Hotelbeds Group, and features Markus Keller, Senior Vice President at Accor Hotels, Jonny Marsh, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at loveholidays, and Bluecy Zhang,&nbsp;Vice President of Sourcing&nbsp;at Haoqiao. Together they will explore their views on the challenges and opportunities hotels are facing from disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data, along with the entrance into the field of new technology players.&nbsp;

Palma, 8 November 2017. Hotelbeds Group, the business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry globally, has today provided – at the World Travel Market fair in London – an update on the latest stage of the integration of Tourico Holidays and GTA into the Group.&nbsp;

Accommodation available on the Group´s platform – including the recent additions of Tourico Holidays and GTA – have now risen from around 120,000 to approximately 170,000 unique hotels, a majority of which is directly contracted. This offers clients an even wider choice of hotel accommodation, particularly in the North American and Asia-Pacific markets where Tourico Holidays and GTA respectively have strong footprints.

Additionally the Group can confirm that the number of clients connected to its platforms via the wholesale channel have now risen to more than 7,000 clients following Tourico Holidays and GTA joining the group. This both diversifies and increases the reach that hotel and ancillaries suppliers now have via partnering with the Group.

The Group´s current IT platforms are now handling around 1 billion search requests per day – with peaks of up to 1.5 billion – from customers following the inclusion of Tourico Holidays and GTA.
