Madrid, 18 de Enero de 2018 – Bedsonline, el proveedor global líder de acomodación y productos complementarios exclusivo para agencias de viaje, ha anunciado hoy los resultados registrados en el último año en España como destino y mercado emisor.

Un año más, España consigue posicionarse como mercado emisor principal con un promedio de noches reservadas de 2,25 por estancia[1]. Le sigue el Reino Unido como segundo mercado emisor principal con promedio de 5,7 noches por estancia.

España también se ha situado como destino más demandado por los turistas españoles en 2017, siendo Madrid, Barcelona y Tenerife los más reservados. Fuera del país, la preferencia de los españoles en el último año han sido las grandes ciudades de Nueva York y París.

Asimismo, España también ha experimentado este año, un incremento substancial del número de turistas procedentes de Latinoamérica. Concretamente de Colombia, Costa Rica y Perú.

La compañía ha sido testigo también este año de la recuperación de Turquía como destino, donde los turistas españoles han incrementado un 15% el número de noches de hotel reservadas a través de la plataforma de Bedsonline para el destino Estambul. Esta recuperación se debe, en gran parte, a la recuperación de la estabilidad geopolítica y al incremento de viajeros europeos, que ha motivado a los turistas españoles a apostar otra vez por este destino.

	Roles taken by existing senior management from all three companies plus external hire

Palma, 16 January 2018. Hotelbeds Group, the leading bedbank worldwide and provider of business-to-business services to the global travel industry, has today confirmed the new departmental structure of its Bedbank business as part of the integration of Tourico Holidays and GTA into the Group.

Following a strategic review a new departmental structure has been created with the following functions: Commercial Strategy, Strategic Partnerships, Global Business Services, Product management, Retail Travel Agencies, Wholesale&nbsp;and Sourcing and&nbsp;Marketing &amp; Communications.&nbsp;

Leading these areas as of the beginning of this year are the following executives:


	Asi Ginio, Director of Commercial Strategy &amp; Strategic Partnerships. Asi joins from Tourico Holidays where he was most recently CEO.
	Alex Brändle, Director Global Business Services. Alex joins from GTA where he was the SVP of Business Transformation.
	Peter Mansour, Director of Product management. Peter joins from outside of the Group and has worked in senior roles at companies such as Microsoft and eBay.
	Alistair Rodger, Director Retail Travel Agents.&nbsp;Alistair very recently joined GTA from The LaterRooms Group, where he was Chief Commercial &amp; Operating Officer.
	Sam Turner, Director Wholesale Sales &amp; Sourcing. Sam has been with Hotelbeds for many years and was previously the Director of Sales.
	Gareth Matthews will continue as the Director Marketing &amp; Communications for the Group, with his scope now increased to include the Tourico Holidays and GTA brands. Additionally he will take on responsibility for sponsorship partnerships.


Each of the above mentioned function leaders will report directly to Carlos Muñoz in his role as Managing Director of Hotelbeds Group´s Bedbank. Additionally each function leader will also be a member of the Executive Committee. Palma, December 22, 2017. Hotelbeds Group, a leading bedbank worldwide and a business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry, has announced the integration of CityPASS, the provider of multi-attraction ticket products, into its Transfer &amp; Activity Bank (TAB).

The partnership will add to TAB´s platform 78 new attractions such as the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Space Needle, World of Coca-Cola and Blue &amp; Gold Bay Fleet Cruise Adventure, including a real-time booking confirmation and cancellation service, in 12 North American markets such as New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Dallas. The CityPASS products have been activated for all distribution channels of Hotelbeds Group.

	The leading bedbank worldwide publishes the trends for the winter holidays
	Four of the top 10 favourite destinations are located in the Asia Pacific continent
	Orlando is ranked as first preferred location to visit this Christmas

Palma, 15 December 2017. Hotelbeds, the leading bedbank worldwide, has published today trends for Christmas hotel bookings made via its own proprietary platform with an increased interest for Asia Pacific as a top destination and source market. [1]

The Hotelbeds platform, which focuses on providing wholesale travel content to online travel agencies (OTAs), tour operators and airlines, has announced that for this Christmas period Orlando will be, as per the previous year, the top destination chosen by tourists around the world booking via Hotelbeds´ travel intermediary partners. This American destination is followed by Phuket, Thailand, which scales two positions in comparison with last year, with a noticeable increase in roomnights booked. The third favorite destination will be New York, with an increase in roomnights.

The ranking of most booked destinations continues with Tenerife, Paris, Bangkok, Dubai, Cancun, Singapore and Hong Kong - with four of the top ten destinations being in Asia Pacific, up from only three last year.

Examining Hotelbeds’ source markets for this Christmas holidays, the United Kingdom (UK) is the most important source market for Hotelbeds, followed by Spain, the United States, Mexico and Brazil. Whilst it remains outside of the top ten, the United Arab Emirates has grown significantly as a source market for Hotelbeds since last year, ranking in 13th position while last year it was 22nd.

Focusing on the UK source market, in descending order of bookings, British people choose to travel to Tenerife (Spain), Lanzarote (Spain), Benidorm (Spain), Phuket (Thailand), Orlando (US), New York (US), Algarve (Portugal), Gran Canaria (Spain), Fuerteventura (Spain) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Their average stay in these destinations for the Christmas period will be 4.47 nights, with average bookings of up to 8 nights in the Spanish destinations. Whilst the source of bookings for the United Kingdom as a destination, by descending order, are the local market, Spain, the US (with a strong increase in roomnights Vs last year), Germany, Netherlands, Egypt, Italy, France, Australia and the United Arab Emirates.

Carlos Muñoz, Managing Director Bedbank, Hotelbeds Group commented: “Whilst the traditional Christmas destinations such as Orlando – well known for Disneyland – remain&nbsp; amongst the most popular with travelers who book via our customers, nonetheless a clear trend is emerging compared to last year: Asia Pacific destinations continue to be a growth market for us. 

“This reflects in part the ever increasing desire of global travelers to visit the region. But the main driver of the increase in bookings for the destination via our platform is our increased presence in the region as a bedbank, working with local travel sellers in the local source market – many of whose customers in turn want to book hotels for holidays in the region. 

“To respond to this increased demand we have been increasing our portfolio of hotels globally, and in particular in Asia-Pacific. Since Tourico Holidays and GTA became part of our Group earlier this year, we now have over 170,000 hotels available on the platform. ”

For the Spanish source market, the most popular destination for Spanish tourists whose booking was made via the Hotelbeds platform this Christmas is Andorra to ski and enjoy winter activities. There is a big interest for Spanish people to visit Paris (where roomnights have grown strongly), Rome and New York. Spanish tourists will travel to their destinations to spend an average stay of 3.7 nights. Hotelbeds’ Christmas bookings trends show growth of Asia Pacific as top destination 


	Target to directly contract 10,000 additional hotels over coming three years

Palma, 13 December 2017. Hotelbeds Group, the world´s leading bedbank and provider of B2B services to the global travel industry, has announced today an ambitious plan to increase the number of directly contracted hotels available across its bedbank platform.

The objective of the program is to increase by 10,000 the number of hotels directly contracted over the next three years. Such exclusive deals aim to gain the best prices, under the best terms &amp; conditions, for the sole benefit of the Group´s 60,000 plus travel intermediary clients globally.

This initiative follows Tourico Holidays and GTA joining Hotelbeds Group and forms part of the Group´s commitment to provide its online travel agency (OTA), tour operator, wholesaler and airline clients with a continually evolving portfolio of the best possible hotel content.&nbsp;

Already the recruitment process has begun and will last until around April of next year. In total around 200 of the best candidates will be given roles in the respective Contracting and Yield teams, to be based across many of the 200 plus offices that the Group has globally.&nbsp; The new roles are already published on LinkedIn and candidates interested can also apply directly via the Hotelbeds Group recruitment website.

Sam Turner, Director of Sales and Sourcing at Hotelbeds Group commented: “Already we have over 170,000 hotels globally, a great many of which are directly contracted, making us the B2B leader by a considerable margin – but we´re committed to growing that further and today´s news if proof of that commitment. 

“Between our existing Hotelbeds brand and Tourico Holidays together with GTA, both of whom have just joined us, we already have the best sourcing professionals in the industry. So in order to fill these profiles we´re thinking outside of the box, including considering dynamic business people from outside the travel sector who we can quickly convert into talent.”

This news forms part of the announcements earlier in the year of both Tourico Holidays and GTA becoming part of Hotelbeds Group. Whilst they currently remain independent businesses within the Group´s portfolio, already their integration is well underway.&nbsp; Cross selling of hotel content between Tourico Holidays and Hotelbeds to their respective clients began in the autumn; and in December the hotel content of GTA also started to become available to the rest of the Group.

Already teams from the different companies have begun to move into shared office spaces, including following the opening of a new Group office location in Singapore, the regional hub for the Group.&nbsp; At World Travel Market in London recently Hotelbeds, Tourico Holidays and GTA together shared a combined stand during the show and announced that collectively they now have over 170,000 unique hotels globally.

Roiback launches BackHotel Lite, a pocket edition version of its booking engine


	Bedsonline ha dado a conocer las tendencias y los lugares preferidos para las actividades de invierno y esquí estas Navidades.
	El 93% de las reservas a Andorra y al Pirineo Aragonés las han realizado españoles, seguidos por los franceses, portugueses y británicos.

Palma, 5 de diciembre de 2017. Bedsonline, el proveedor global líder de acomodación y productos complementarios exclusivo para agencias de viaje, ha dado a conocer cuáles serán las tendencias de los viajes a la nieve para estas Navidades, según los datos obtenidos a través de su plataforma de reservas. Los resultados apuntan que Andorra seguirá siendo la favorita este año para los viajeros que buscan nieve y pistas de esquí en época navideña. Estos viajeros vendrán sobre todo de España y pasarán una media de 2,6 noches en su destino.

De las reservas realizadas hasta finales de noviembre a través de la plataforma de Bedsonline para fechas navideñas, el 63% corresponden a Andorra, el 16,5% al Pirineo Aragonés y el 11,7% al Pirineo Catalán. En cuanto al número de noches contratadas, las poblaciones cerca de pistas de esquí donde pasarán más noches serán Andorra la Vella (Andorra), Escaldes (Andorra), Pas de la Casa (Andorra), Formigal (Pirineo Aragonés), Pradollano (Sierra Nevada), Soldeu (Andorra), El Tarter (Andorra), Jaca (Pirinero Aragonés), Canillo (Andorra) y Arinsal (Andorra). Dos destinos que repuntan este año son Escaldes y Formigal, que han aumentado el número de reservas un 31% y un 46% respectivamente con respecto al año anterior. Cierran el ranking Sierra Nevada, que se llevará el 6% de los turistas, Huesca y los Pirineos Franceses.

La media de noches que los viajeros pasarán en su destino es de 2,6 noches, un 5% menos que el año anterior. Pas de la Casa es el lugar donde la media de noches por reserva es más alta, con más de 4,3 noches contratadas. En cuanto a los mercados emisores, la mayoría de las reservas provienen del mercado doméstico, ya que han sido realizadas en un 93% por españoles, seguidos por los franceses, portugueses, británicos y holandeses.

Estos resultados pueden cambiar en las próximas semanas, ya que el turista español que decide ir a esquiar lo suele hacer con muy poca antelación y tiende a estar motivado por las primeras caídas copiosas de nieve del invierno. De entre los viajeros españoles, un 26,5% reserva con dos semanas de antelación y un 13,7% lo hace con tan solo tres días de antelación. Por su parte, el mercado internacional planea y reserva sus vacaciones en la nieve con meses de previsión.&nbsp;

Carlos Feliu, director de ventas de Bedsonline, afirma que “un año más vemos la predilección por Andorra como destino de nieve. Este destino ofrece también la posibilidad de ir de tiendas, todo un plus para algunos de los clientes de nuestras agentes de viajes que buscan precisamente esto después de esquiar. En cuanto a la demanda, observamos en estos momentos que es similar a la del año pasado, notando un cierto repunte en las ventas en Pirineo Aragonés. En cuanto caigan las primeras nevadas, el cliente español se activará rápidamente para viajar a estos destinos de nieve. Por eso, nuestro equipo de contratación ha trabajado mucho este año para reforzar la oferta de productos disponibles, como parte de nuestro compromiso para ofrecer a nuestras agentes de viajes las mejores ofertas, al mejor precio, y bajo los mejores términos”.

Andorra y el Pirineo Aragonés vuelven a liderar los destinos de nieve para Navidad


	España se mantiene como principal mercado emisor para la compañía a nivel global

Palma, 30 de noviembre 2017 – Bedsonline, el proveedor global líder de acomodación y productos complementarios exclusivo para agencias de viaje, ha anunciado hoy los resultados de su año fiscal 16/17 – cerrado a 30 de septiembre.

España se mantiene otro año más como mercado emisor principal a nivel global, seguido de México, Reino Unido, Francia y Portugal. Por lo que se refiere a destinos, los principales destinos se localizan en España con Madrid y Barcelona al frente, seguidos de Paris, Tenerife y Nueva York.

Asimismo, la compañía se consolida en Norteamérica consiguiendo crecer en facturación tanto en Estados Unidos (+30%) como en Canadá (+51%).

Las tendencias registradas por Bedsonline a nivel global se repiten, también, en el territorio español. Una vez más, el mercado doméstico se sitúa como mercado emisor número uno en número de ventas. Le siguen Reino Unido, Francia, Irlanda y los Países Bajos como mercado emisores. Destaca también el crecimiento de Estados Unidos como mercado emisor en un 35% en ventas brutas.

Por lo que se refiere a los lugares más demandados por los turistas españoles para pasar sus vacaciones destacan, por este orden: Madrid, Barcelona, Tenerife, Nueva York y Paris con una media de 2,26 noches por estancia.

Carlos Feliu, director de ventas de Bedsonline comenta: “En Bedsonline hemos apostado siempre por la internacionalización y la diversificación. Palma 28 November, 2017 – Hotelbeds Group, the business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry globally, has announced today a strong recovery in hotel bookings through the Hotelbeds Group platform – including the Hotelbeds brands, as well as the Tourico Holidays and GTA brands that recently joined the Group – for Turkey as a destination during the current fiscal year 17/18. [1]

The Total Transaction Value (TTV) of reservations of Turkish hotel accommodation through the Group´s platform has increased by 40% since October 1st, whilst Turkey has improved its position in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) within the Group from ranking 11th to ranking 9th as the most booked destination.

This marked recovery can also be noticed in both average prices and hotel occupancy rates, with the average rate per night staying stable at around 50 euros and total roomnights growing in line with TTV at around 40% too.

In particular this recovery has been led by a sharp return in the number of British travelers, who have become the single largest source of bookings via the Hotelbeds Group platform. The second biggest source market has now become Germany. In third place is Saudi Arabia, which has seen strong increase in bookings since the beginning of October.

This recovery in bookings for Turkey as a destination has led to the Group reviewing its portfolio of hotels and contracting additional properties in order to adjust to the evolving demand and offer its clients the best selection of hotels available, at the most competitive prices and under the best conditions – with plans to contract a further 400 hotels in the coming months, ready for the upcoming summer season.

Additionally, bookings made through the Hotelbeds Group platform have also revealed a preference for urban destinations, with Istanbul and the Antalya region as the most in-demand locations.

Sam Turner, Responsible for Sales and Sourcing of Hotelbeds Group commented: “Since the beginning of the new financial year on October 1st, we have noticed a clear recovery of Turkey as a destination for all of our Group’s businesses, including Tourico Holidays and GTA that have recently joined us. This increase of tourists has in large part come from the return of the British traveler to Turkey.&nbsp; We feel this is due to the general travelling public feeling that stability has once again returned to the country. However, other source markets such as Saudi Arabia&nbsp;have&nbsp;grown strongly, and whilst the numbers are much smaller we have nonetheless seen a doubling in the number of Spaniards reserving hotels for the destination.

“This has allowed us to increase not only the number of roomnights but also the total volume of sales for the destination by 40% compared to the same period last year. In fact, for us Turkey has risen from being the 11th to now the 9th most reserved destination for the EMEA region on our platform.

Hotelbeds Group announces Turkey recovery during current financial year


	Sales increase of 87% over last four years
	Over 7,500 experiences and activities in more than 300 destinations are now connected to the isango! platform
	Significant expansion of in-destination bookings, with 215% bookings increase during last year


Palma, 24 of November 2017. Hotelbeds Group, the business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry globally, has announced today results confirming the successful growth of the Group´s tours &amp; activities arm isango! – the web-based specialist retailer of tickets for tours, experiences and attractions in both the B2C and white label solutions channels.

Overall isango! – which operates a range of websites such as isango.com,&nbsp;Local Paris Tours, Hop on Hop Off Bus and&nbsp;Love Orlando Tickets, plus offers white label solutions to B2B clients such as airlines and online travel agencies – has achieved 87% growth in trading over the last four years, year-on-year representing a compounded annual growth rate of 36%.

This success has been driven by a significant increase in the offering available on the isango! platform, which now sells 7,500 tours and activities in more than 300 destinations worldwide including attractions such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and Statue of Liberty in New York.

Particular success has been achieved in gaining bookings from travelers in-destination, with a growth rate in bookings of 215% in the last year, and growing 640% over the last four years. This expansion has been matched by growth in its non-English language websites, which over the last three years have grown as a proportion of the overall isango! business.&nbsp;

	The chain of hotels based in Ibiza, leader in the holiday segment and present in six countries, has already registered a growth in conversion of over 30% since the start of the agreement.

Palma de Mallorca, 23rd November 2017 – The multinational corporation Palladium Hotel Group and Roiback, specialist and leader in the management of the direct channel of hotel sales, have signed a collaboration agreement to optimize the hotel group's sales through the direct channel, one of the most strategic for the company.

World-renowned hotels such as the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach or the Grand Palladium Bávaro Suites, and another 27 hotels in Spain, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Italy or Brazil are already benefiting from this new partnership with Roiback.

The agreement has been articulated around three main lines of action. On one hand, the implementation of the Roiback booking engine (BACKHOTEL 4.5) on palladiumhotelgroup.com, to achieve a better conversion of traffic on the websites; on the other, the promotion of the mobile sales channel through the use of MOBILIS, a specialized Roiback solution for mobile devices; and finally the improvement of the traffic capture strategy through advanced integration with the most important meta search engines worldwide. All this has been possible thanks to the close collaboration of the Palladium team, headquartered in Ibiza, with the Roiback team, both in Palma and in Cancún.

Rafael Rubi, Director of Ecommerce at Palladium Hotel Group, has expressed his satisfaction with the conversion figures achieved. "Since the beginning, Roiback has shown full involvement and support with the project, and we are recording a conversion growth of more than 30% since its launch."

The important increase of the conversion in the webs has been thanks to an advanced configuration of the tools for the optimization of product and revenue of the engine, also thanks to the implementation of the latest version of the booking engine BACKHOTEL 4.5. This engine brings important improvements that simplify their use and facilitate the purchase decision of the user. Roiback presented the beta version of BACKHOTEL 4.5 at FITUR this year, and after several months of testing, it is now in full implementation phase to all its customers.
