	Hotelbeds’ ancillary supplier partners are now able to sell their products to Juniper’s 300+ clients in over 50 countries.

Palma, Spain, 2nd February 2021 – Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has announced a strategic partnership with Juniper, a global travel technology company and leader in online solutions for the tourism industry under the Juniper and Cangooroo brands.

Thanks to this agreement Hotelbeds’ ancillary partners – via the Beyond the Bed portfolio – will now have access to Juniper and Cangooroo’s 300+ clients&nbsp; – increasing Hotelbeds’ ancillary distribution reach in over 50 countries, including Spain, USA, Colombia, Brazil, and the UAE.

The partnership will provide Juniper’s clients with access to preferential conditions from&nbsp; Beyond The Bed’s portfolio of more than 18,000 activities in 690 destinations, 25,000 transfer routes in 1,100 destinations, car rental from 30,000 pick-up locations in 170 countries – as well as theme-park attractions and entrance tickets for events all over the world.

Palma, Spain,&nbsp; 27th&nbsp;January 2021 – Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has today published its second Corporate Responsibility Report, highlighting all the ways it adapted its CSR approach in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to provide support to the global travel industry and to communities most impacted by the unprecedented situation.

Prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, and in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the report covers the period from October 1st 2019 to September 30th 2020 and contains the most relevant achievements.

Examples include:


	The launch of the Safe2Stay scheme based around a series of health &amp; safety protocols and launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to enable hotels across its 180,000 strong portfolio to highlight the measures they were taking to keep guests safe.



	The adaptation of the Corporate Volunteering Programme to be fully on-line as mobility restrictions were introduced globally. More than 500 employees contributed over 1500 hours of their own time to support groups and communities most impacted by COVID-19. Activities included telephone calls and letters of compassion to hospital patients, virtual workshops offering tutoring and basic learning to people with disabilities, story-telling to support children living in poverty and the provision of web design and social media training to help non-profit organisations to improve their marketing.



	The creation and launch of the Green Hotels Programme to identify, highlight and promote sustainable accommodation across its portfolio, with over 15,000 properties certified within the period of the report.



	And for the third year running, Hotelbeds was independently certified as a Carbon Neutral organisation, having demonstrated a significant reduction in its carbon emissions, including energy and paper consumptions, waste management, business travel and water supply.


In announcing the publication of this second report, Executive Chairman at Hotelbeds, Joan Vilà, said: “The extreme disruption and damage caused to the travel industry and the world by just one virus clearly demonstrates the very urgent and important need for our sector to commit to a sustainable future and increase our positive impact now more than ever.”

Palma, Spain, 21 January 2021 – Hotelbeds, the world’s leading B2B bedbank, has today announced the extension of its partnership with HotelRunner, a sales channel management platform and B2B network for OTAs and hoteliers.

Further building on over six years of successful partnership, HotelRunner’s 40,000 hotel and hostel partners from all over the world will continue to have access to Hotelbeds’ 60,000 travel trade buyers – including tour operators, travel agencies, airlines and loyalty points schemes drawn from over 185 source markets.

	Certification follows thorough analysis of Hotelbeds’ carbon footprint by independent body, Carbon Footprint Ltd.
	Company donations for every business travel flight are used to finance carbon neutral projects – and this year Hotelbeds will be supporting a project in China.
	This news follows the recent launch of the Green Hotels Programme, a new initiative to identify, highlight and promote sustainable accommodation within its hotel portfolio.


Palma, Spain, 12 January 2021 – Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has announced today that for the third consecutive year it has been certified as a Carbon Neutral Organisation by Carbon Footprint Ltd, an independent body that accredits carbon management measurements and best practices for businesses, by offsetting companies’ CO2 emissions.

This prestigious accreditation reflects Hotelbeds’ commitment in the past three years to reduce its environmental impact and ensure long-term sustainability by offsetting the carbon emissions it generates.

During 2018 the company created a programme whereby a fee is paid for every business flight taken by an employee. This is then used to finance a carbon neutral project and both encourage reduction in travel and awareness around the importance of carbon offsetting.

In 2018 the funds raised from this programme were donated to the Portel-Pará Deforestation Project - which is located within Brazil’s Amazon, the largest remaining rainforest on our planet - &nbsp;to help prevent unplanned deforestation.

In 2019 Hotelbeds chose to give the funds to the Renewable Energy Project in India, that manages the installation of solar panels across the country.

This year Hotelbeds will be supporting the Verified Carbon Standard certified Guohua Tongliao Kezuo Zhongqi Phase 1 Wind Power project in China, that will reduce carbon emissions via the displacement of fossil fuels. This project helps to combat climate change and sustains our environment for future generations.

This news follows the recent launch of the Green Hotels Programme, a turn-key solution to bring Hotelbeds and its partners into the green economy and accelerate the transition of the travel industry towards sustainability.

As part of the certification process, carbon emission calculations – including energy and paper consumptions, waste management, business travel and water supply – were conducted by Hotelbeds, using metrics devised by Carbon Footprint Ltd.

Carbon Footprint Ltd has also successfully completed a verification of the carbon footprint assessment for Hotelbeds. This included spot-checking source data from across the company as well as reviewing the overall methodology.

Thanks to this partnership Hotelbeds and its retail channel Bedsonline – that exclusively caters to retail travel agents – &nbsp;will increase distribution reach in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, South Africa, Canada, the USA, India, Hong Kong, and Dubai.

As part of the partnership Flight Centre will connect to Hotelbeds’ product portfolio via the API solutions offered by Hotelbeds.

Flight Centre will gain full access to Hotelbeds’ extensive portfolio of 180,000 hotel properties in 140 countries worldwide providing breadth and depth of range globally – many of which are contracted under special terms and conditions – supplementing Flight Centre’s own direct range. This campaign will offer exclusive discounts of up to 60% for arrivals up until the end of 2021 and will include flexible rates to provide travellers with complete peace-of-mind.

The exclusive rates will be distributed across Hotelbeds’ two main channels: its wholesale distribution channel that operates under the ‘Hotelbeds’ brand and its retail channel, Bedsonline, that exclusively cater to retail travel agents.

Hotelbeds has worked hard to sign-up hotel properties to participate in the campaign, with over 6,000 hotels joining the promotion, including Hilton, Accor, Hyatt, Marriott, Oyo, Hilton, Best Western, Four Seasons, Barcelo, Melia, Be Live, IHG,&nbsp; Carlton, Radisson, and Wyndham, among others.

This year the Hotelbeds ‘Black Friday’ campaign spans from The Americas to Europe, plus the Middle-East and Asia-Pacific with the following plan:


	In the Americas, the campaign will cover from November the 9th to December the 1st.
	In Mexico the campaign will be known as ‘Buen Fin’ or ‘Buena Semana’ but covering the same booking period as the rest of the Americas.
	In Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific the campaign will start the 23rd of November and it will last until December the 6th.
	In China, Malaysia, and Singapore the campaign will be from November the 4th to the 18th, and it will be promoted as the ‘Single’s Day’ campaign.

	Aruba Tourism Authority is partnering with the Destination Marketing team at Hotelbeds to promote tourism recovery until the end of August 2021.

To certify over 15,000 properties as sustainable, Hotelbeds has partnered with global sustainability certification companies to identify fully certified hotel properties following the criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) for hotels.

The criteria are organized around four main themes: effective sustainability planning, maximizing social and economic benefits for the local community,&nbsp;enhancing cultural heritage, and reducing negative impacts on the environment.

Palma, Spain, &nbsp;20 October 2020 – Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, announces today a new strategic agreement with Magnuson Hotels, the fast growing global franchise alternative brand.

This agreement provides Magnuson Hotels with access to Hotelbeds’ high-value distribution network of more than 60,000 travel trade buyers including tour operators, retail travel agents, airlines and loyalty programs across more than 140 source markets worldwide.

Hotelbeds’ portfolio of travel buyers will offer Magnuson Hotels – when the full recovery begins – incremental, high value bookings from non-domestic markets that typically book further in advance, pay more per room, cancel less and spend more at the property.

At the same time, Hotelbeds’ clients will gain access to preferential rates and availability from across Magnuson Hotels' portfolio including their Magnuson Grand, Magnuson Hotel, M Star Hotel, and an exclusive By Magnuson Worldwide collection brands.

As part of this agreement, Magnuson Hotels will distribute its hotel rooms through Hotelbeds’ two main channels: its wholesale distribution channel that operates under the 'Hotelbeds' brand and its retail channel, Bedsonline, that exclusively caters to retail travel agents.
