The volunteering program has also been implemented in the Hotelbeds offices in Bangkok, Beijing, Cancun, Dubai, London, Orlando, Shanghai, Singapore and Tel Aviv, reaching a total of 3,000 of the 5,000 employees of the company worldwide.
Many international NGOs such as Give Kids the World or United Against Poverty in Orlando; Waterways Watch Society in Singapore; The Thai Red Cross or the Lumphini Park in Bangkok, and Food for Life in Tel Aviv, among many others, will be able to benefit from the contributions of employees.
Teresa Laso, Corporate Sustainability Lead at Hotelbeds, commented: “As a leading company in the B2B tourism sector, and with more than 5,000 employees around the globe, we are increasingly aware of our impact on the communities in which we are present and, therefore, we have a great responsibility to be an example of change and to share these values with our employees. With these kinds of initiatives, we intend to improve the local communities in which our employees are present. We listened to employees in order to offer different proposals close to their hearts and within our corporate sustainability strategy.”
So far, 150 group volunteering activities have been organized around the globe and over 1,000 employees have already signed up.
